Debra Cohen’s journey is a testament to resilience and transformation. Once a New Wave rocker in Boston, she opened for Joan Jett at the legendary venue, The Rat in Kenmore Square. Her life then took a spiritual shift as she studied the Bible in Israel, which led to her conversion to Judaism. After a brief career as a public ESOL teacher, Debra stepped away due to PTSD linked to childhood trauma. Driven by a passion for healing, she pursued aromatherapy, and later, while living as a full-time RVer, met her husband at 62 in Texas. Returning to her musical roots, Debra emerged as a DIY indie artist and producer, sharing her creations on DebraCohenMusic.com. In 2024, she added "non-fiction author" to her list of accomplishments, yet her deep connection to music continues to be her lifeline.
